Create your firm
Sign up as an accountant, name your practice, and set the brand color and logo that clients see on your invite links.
Your firm is the top-level workspace that owns your subscription, your shared credit pool, and your portfolio of client businesses. You create it once, and it becomes the home screen for your accountant account.
Sign up as an accountant
An account is either a business owner or an accountant, and the choice is fixed for that email address.
Choose the accountant path at sign-up
On the sign-up screen, pick the accountant option. This sets your account persona to accountant, so your home is the firm workspace rather than a business dashboard.
Confirm your email
Sign in with a magic link or with Google, the same as any account.
Land in the firm workspace
A short guided setup helps you name the practice and add your first client, then drops you on the firm workspace.

An accountant account has no personal business organization. If you also run a business of your own, use a separate email address for it. You cannot switch an existing business account into an accountant account, or the reverse.
One firm per owner
You create and own a single firm. Your staff can belong to your firm, and a person can be a member of another firm too, but the firm workspace shows the firm you own. There is no in-product transfer of firm ownership yet.
Set your firm profile and branding
Open the Firm profile tab in the firm workspace to edit your identity.
Name the practice
The firm name appears across the workspace and on the invite links your clients open.
Set a brand color
Pick the color used to brand your client-facing invite and connect pages.
Add a logo
Provide a company domain, and Inbox Ledger fetches your logo automatically, or paste a direct HTTPS image URL.

Your brand color and logo appear on the branded connect links you share with clients, so the sign-up they see carries your practice's look, not ours.
Delete your firm
Deleting a firm is owner-only and is guarded. The Delete firm action is blocked while a firm subscription is active or while any client is still linked. Cancel the subscription and unlink or remove every client first, then confirm by typing the firm name.
Deleting a firm removes your managed client organizations and unlinks the client-owned ones. A client-owned business keeps its own data after it is unlinked. Read Add clients to understand which clients are managed and which are client-owned.
